Founder / Co-Owner / Casting Director
Angela Peri is an Emmy award-winning casting director, educator, and entrepreneur with more than 35 years in the film, television, commercial, and theater industries. As founder and co-owner of Boston Casting, she has cast more than 140 film and television projects, along with thousands of commercials, helping shape the New England casting landscape for decades.
Her credits include The Oscar winning film CODA, BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE, BOSTON BLUE, 5 STAR WEEKEND, GOOD BURGER, I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY and James L Brook's ELLA MCKAY and the soon to be released WEEKEND WARRIORS and THE COLLABORATION, among many others. Angela is an Emmy award winner for WIDOWS BAY, a four time Artios winner for CODA, SORRY BABY, THE HOLDOVERS, and KNIVES OUT. She was also nominated for two Semiramis Awards for Excellence in Casting worldwide for CODA and SOUND OF METAL.
In addition to her casting work, Angela is an Adjunct Professor at Emerson College, where she teaches The Business of Acting and has done workshops at Harvard University, The Boston Conservatory and Northeastern University to name a few.

Co-Owner / Casting Director
In 2026, Lisa won her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for her work as the local casting director on the Apple TV series WIDOW’S BAY. She has received ten Artios Award nominations from the Casting Society, with three wins for SORRY, BABY, THE HOLDOVERS, and the Academy Award Best Picture winner CODA. She has also received two Semiramis Award nominations for Excellence in Casting, including one for SOUND OF METAL, which featured an almost entirely Deaf cast.
Lisa’s recent credits include WIDOW’S BAY for Apple TV, Netflix’s THE PERFECT COUPLE, A24’s THE DRAMA and TONY, and M. Night Shyamalan’s REMAIN.
Throughout her career, Lisa has built longstanding relationships with producers and directors who value her instincts, experience, creativity and collaborative approach. She has earned the trust of filmmakers who return to her project after project, creating lasting professional relationships that she considers one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
Beyond casting, Lisa enjoys speaking with students around the country about careers in acting and casting. In 2023, she was honored by her alma mater with the University of Hartford’s Arts and Sciences Alumni Award.

Extras Casting Director
Cheryl has been with Boston Casting since 2017 and previously spent seven years working as a background casting director for a Los Angeles casting company. A Boston native, Cheryl graduated from University of Massachusetts with a double major in Theatre Arts and Political Science.
After graduation, Cheryl briefly stepped away from the entertainment industry to work in finance. When her four children developed an interest in theatre and acting, she found her way back to the industry and eventually transitioned into casting.
Recent background casting credits include the television series WIDOWS BAY, JULIA, and THE PERFECT COUPLE, as well as the films THE DRAMA, ELLA MCCAY, THE UNHOLY, THE INSTIGATORS, and the upcoming film WEEKEND WARRIORS.

Associate Casting Director
Melissa is a seasoned casting professional working across film and television. Originally from Long Island, she moved to Massachusetts after earning her degree in Communications from Fitchburg State University.
She began her casting career in 2016 as an intern at Boston Casting, returning the following year as office manager and commercial casting assistant. Since then, she has contributed to a range of film and television projects, earning her CSA Associate status.
Her credits include WIDOW’S BAY, TONY, THE DRAMA, THE HOLDOVERS, AMERICAN FICTION, and the Academy Award-winning CODA.
She has received eight Artios Awards nominations, winning three for CODA, THE HOLDOVERS and SORRY, BABY.
