Filmed in Massachusetts, ‘The New Mutants’ is released on Friday, August 28th.
On August 28th, 20th Century Studios releases the teen superhero thriller “The New Mutants” – a spinoff of the "X-Men" franchise.
Over 275 MA residents were employed during production including crew, principal, and background actors. An additional 30 MA residents were employed on visual effects for the film.
Based in Millis for over 5 months, the film was shot in 4 cities and towns including Lynn, Medfield, Millis, and Weymouth. Of the 49 days the production filmed, 34 of those were at the former Medfield State Hospital.
