Made In MA Double Feature

This weekend two highly anticipated comedies filmed in Massachusetts "I Feel Pretty" and "Super Troopers 2" opened in theaters across the country.

Below is just some of the impact these two productions had for local economies, small businesses, and jobs for Massachusetts residents because of the state's Film & Television Incentive Program. 

I Feel Pretty

The film was shot in Massachusetts in 5 cities and towns including Boston, Dedham, Lynn, Salisbury, and Worcester.

During the 4 months that "I Feel Pretty" was made:

  • The production bought or rented goods and services from 1,400 businesses in 116 cities and towns. 
     
  • The production employed over 700 Massachusetts residents including crew, principal and background actors. 
     

Super Troopers 2

The film was shot in Massachusetts in 12 cities and towns including Acton, Belchertown, Concord, Groton, Hopkinton, Leominster, Marlborough, Pelham, Shutesbury, Southborough, Sudbury, and Ware.

During the 5 months that "Super Troopers 2" was made:

  • The production bought or rented goods and services from over 900 businesses in 151 cities and towns. 

  • The production employed over 360 Massachusetts residents including crew, principal and background actors.
