MA Film Office Updates
Meg Montagnino-Jarrett (Director) will share updates from the Film Office, an overview of recent production activity for the year, and resources available to filmmakers working in the state.
Film Festivals: Community Through Storytelling
Film festivals remain the most essential place for audiences to discover new filmmakers and connect with bold, original storytelling. In this conversation, directors and programmers from local festivals will reflect on the changing theatrical landscape, and how festivals continue to play a vital role in bringing new work to audiences. They’ll also share how they’re strengthening community engagement, making the festival experience accessible for emerging filmmakers and filmgoers, and offer practical insight for filmmakers navigating submissions and programming decisions.

The Crystal Ballroom entrance is located next to Somerville Theatre at 55 Davis Square. Cash bar and cards accepted. Light fare will be served.
Parking
We encourage guests to use the nearby public parking options, including the Buena Vista Lot at 25 Buena Vista Road, and the Grove Street Lot at 9 Grove Street. Limited street parking is also available on Meecham Road behind the Somerville Theatre.
MBTA
The Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre is easily accessible via the MBTA Red Line and multiple bus routes at the Davis Square Station. For information, visit mbta.com.
