MA Film Jobs Advocacy Update

  • Virtual Event Zoom (map)

Friday, July 9th: 12:30 - 1:30 PM

Zoom advocacy meeting on the status of our campaign to preserve MA's film and television industry and Keep MA Film Jobs Alive!

Over the past month we have been working hard to convince the State Legislature's Conference Committee for the State Budget to support the House proposal to make the film tax incentive permanent and reject the Senate's harmful changes proposed, which would kill the local film and television production industry.

The state's new fiscal year began July 1st. The state has a temporary budget for July in place while the FY'2022 budget is resolved. Once the State Legislature's agreed-upon budget is resolved and reaches the Governor's desk, he will then have 10 days to sign, veto, or amend it.

Join members of MPC, I.A.T.S.E. film locals, SAG-AFTRA New England, and Teamsters Local 25 for updates on our campaign, the state budget process, and what you can do to help Keep MA Film Jobs Alive!
