Cocktails: 6:00 - 7:00 pm / Presentations: 7:00 - 8:30 pm

We’re looking forward to bringing the film and media community together at The Huntington’s Calderwood Pavilion for our Fall Meeting!

Join us for a casual cocktail hour and conversation, followed by presentations and guest speakers. It’s a great chance to connect with peers, hear what’s happening, and be part of what’s next! This season’s meeting will feature conversations with local filmmakers and storytellers about their independently produced, homegrown projects.

Anawan Studios

Based in Brockton, Anawan Studios has cultivated a thriving creative community for production and filmmaking. Their work ranges from client and commercial projects to original scripted films, all while fostering a diverse community of creators. This conversation will explore how Anawan balances client demands with creative projects, creates opportunities for local talent, and is contributing to the growth of the region’s independent filmmaking landscape.

Jake Miskin – Shattered Ice

Writer and producer Jake Miskin makes his feature film debut with Shattered Ice, a poignant drama exploring teen mental health, inspired by his own experiences growing up in a small Massachusetts town. Miskin independently developed and produced the film, which has garnered recognition on the festival circuit, including awards at the Sedona International Film Festival and the Berkshire International Film Festival. In this conversation with Tim Molloy (MovieMaker Magazine), Jake will discuss the filmmaking process, the creative choices that shaped the story, and the journey of bringing an independent project to life in Massachusetts.
