MPC Board of Directors Responsibilities

MPC Board members serve as fiduciaries, helping guide the organization to a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management practices, and by ensuring MPC has the resources needed to advance its mission.

Each board member has one (1) vote and is expected to:

  • Attend board meetings (approximately six per year)

  • Participate in at least one committee

  • Attend special meetings, conference calls, virtual meetings as required

Board members should be prepared to make meaningful professional, financial, and in-kind contributions in support of the Massachusetts Production Coalition’s goals. These contributions may include actively supporting fundraising efforts and providing significant professional services or expertise.

MPC’s Board Responsibilities Policy is provided to nominees to ensure expectations and guidelines are clearly communicated.
