Lunch Included

Learn the skills needed to work as a Production Assistant (PA) on feature film, television, and commercial productions in this immersive one-day training program. Through interactive sessions and hands-on demonstrations, attendees will gain practical knowledge about working on set and what it takes to be an effective PA.

The workshop includes three breakout sessions:

  • Set Etiquette
PA responsibilities, set protocol, and on-set communication

  • Safety Training
Set safety fundamentals and production best practices

  • Career Paths
Resumes, job searching, networking, and building industry connections

Designed for those starting out in the industry, the PA Workshop offers an opportunity to build foundational skills, ask questions, receive feedback, and connect with professionals working across the Massachusetts production community.

Attendees will learn directly from experienced local crew, including Directors, Assistant Directors, Production Coordinators, Camera and Lighting crew members, Safety Training Specialists, experienced PAs, and other industry professionals. Attendees will also receive a digital resource folder with practical production materials, including sample call sheets, crew charts, a safety package, sample resumes, and additional resources for working on set and building a career in production.

Current students, recent graduates, and working PA's are all encouraged to attend.

Space is limited and early registration is strongly encouraged! The PA Workshop often sells out well in advance.
