Join us for the latest edition of Camera Bootcamp—a dynamic, immersive workshop led by seasoned camera professionals. The daylong program will demonstrate and provide attendees with in-depth insights into the various crafts and equipment within the camera department on major film and television productions.

Whether you are embarking on a career in the field or seeking to strengthen your existing skills, this workshop will be a truly invaluable opportunity to learn and expand your network with local camera professionals.

What to Expect:

Session 1: The Fundamentals of On Set Roles

Explore the essential responsibilities of key positions—from DP and Camera Operator to 1st AC, 2nd AC, Loader, and Utility. Learn best practices from pre-production to wrap, along with crucial set etiquette and industry terminology.

Session 2: Breakout Demos

Rotate through three hands-on breakout sessions in smaller groups for hands-on demonstration of the tasks and equipment used by the 1st AC, 2nd AC, Loader, and Utility. Topics covered include: camera setup, accessory management, lens and filter handling, actor marking, slating, media management, and working with wireless video.

Session 3: Career Panel and Q&A

End the day with an interactive panel discussion featuring experienced camera crew members. Gain insights on career paths, on-set safety, job rates, and get your questions answered.
