Our Story
For two decades, production in Massachusetts has been shaped by people showing up – on set before sunrise, in edit bays long after wrap, in studios and classrooms, and at tables where filmmakers, business leaders, educators, labor leaders, and government rarely sat together before.
Massachusetts Production Coalition has been part of that fabric from the start: connecting voices, aligning priorities, and helping the industry build a sustainable path so people can do more than work here – they can stay, grow, and build their careers here.
Why This Moment Matters
Twenty years is more than a milestone – it’s a shared industry history. From early organizing around the film tax incentive to strengthening workforce pathways that keep talent local, MPC has worked to support the policy, workforce, and coordination needed for a stable, sustainable production industry in Massachusetts.
