About the Massachusetts Production Coalition
The Massachusetts Production Coalition (MPC) is the leading voice for the film, television, and new media production industry in Massachusetts. The MPC was the first and foremost industry group to work with the legislature and the Governor toward passage of the film tax credit, which has vastly improved the economic environment for filmmaking. We continue to be the lead advocacy organization in the effort to protect the film tax credits in the Commonwealth.
The MPC represents the largest and most diverse group of production-related businesses throughout the Commonwealth- as well as members within the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, among others. The collective experience and expertise of its Board and Membership have created a production-friendly climate in Massachusetts, complete with all of the resources necessary to service all aspects of the film, television and new media production industries. This in turn has led to the creation of scores of new businesses and thousands of new jobs in Massachusetts.
